For years, the Wolfpack have howled for a new roleplaying game set in the world of Magnamund. While past games like the d20 Lone Wolf RPG, Lone Wolf Multiplayer Game Book, and the Lone Wolf Adventure Game have all been rad, none have been in print for quite some time. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Much like the Lone Wolf saga before Holmgard Press revived it.
We’re thrilled to announce that Thunderbird Publishing (Åskfågeln in Swedish) is preparing to launch the English version of their brand-new RPG, Lone Wolf: Adventures in Magnamund.This RPG features never-before-published adventures, characters, and settings that have until now only been available as special convention exclusives or print-on-demand PDFs—drawing on years of never-before translated material written & devised by a team of all-star Swedish game designers, and our own August Hahn.
• Two Main Books:
• Campaign Setting: Dive into Magnamund with rich lore, heroic character classes, and all-new content.
• Adventure Book: Packed with 7-8 unique adventures never before available in English, ready for you to explore.
• New Character Classes: Start your adventure with a choice of 15 carefully crafted classes (whittled down from an original 27!) ranging from Ogryn Mercenaries to Noodnic Scavengers. More classes will be available as stretch goals!
• Exclusive Content: These settings and scenarios, originally commissioned by Anders at Askfågeln, have been translated into English for the first time. This is a unique opportunity to experience content previously seen only at conventions and in rare printings.
Lone Wolf: Adventures in Magnamund uses the Dragonbane rules system by Free League Publishing (creators of The One Ring, Alien, and Blade Runner RPGs). Dragonbane is a fast-paced, d20-based fantasy RPG that emphasizes quick prep and easy play. It’s designed for both seasoned players and newcomers alike, with simple mechanics that allow for seamless storytelling and - we believe - suits the Lone Wolf universe to a tee!
